Registered NurseThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within their full scope of practice. This will include participation in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for patients, families, and the community. The responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional educational and spiritual needs as guided by an individualized and ongoing plan of care. The RN will work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.Charge Nurse Role: The charge nurse of the ED is responsible for coordinating the patient movement throughout the department and staff assignments within the department. This will entail receiving pre-arrival report from EMS and other community partners. Coordinating with the triage nurse regarding the needs of walk-in arrivals. Collaboration with the House Supervisor regarding throughput needs and bed assignments for admissions. Close collaboration with the department ward clerk, provider staff, ED techs, RNs, and crisis evaluators is essential. All of this requires strong professional communication skills, conflict resolution, time management, and organization.
