Description of ResponsibilitiesThe Cashier is responsible for providing outstanding customer services to patients of the Company.Reporting RelationshipPharmacist-in-chargeResponsibilities of the Cashier include the following:1. Handles cash transactions with customers using the Point of Sale register2. Scan prescriptions and collect payment3. Post payments to the customers A/R account4. Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items5. Redeem stamps and coupons6. Provide excellent customer service7. Greet customers when entering the store8. Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves9. Maintain reports of transactions10. Performs the duties of opening and closing the Point of Sale register11. Answer the phone with a calm, curteous, helpful voice.12. Stock shelves with merchandise13. Assist in inventory counts14. Assist in answer customers inquiries15. Perform cashier duties for the pharmacy.16. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Pharmacy Manager.17. Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and coworkers.18. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.19. Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement Program as requested20. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.21. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.Minimum Qualifications1. Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.2. Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.3.
