A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves private equity firms to improve operating results at portfolio companies. How you will contribute Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements with private equity leadership to design and implement creative solutions for portfolio companies. Hands‑on experience across multiple supply‑chain areas is required. Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s supply chain—including manufacturing, distribution locations, product flow, seasonality, operating costs, and key sourcing, planning, and operations processes. Develop a structured approach to assess improvement opportunities and conduct required analysis to define potential strategies and tactics that meet growth and financial objectives. Analyze supply‑chain network design and footprints, including baseline warehousing and distribution cost structure, capacity utilization, inventory flows, and optimization opportunities; use modeling software such as Llamasoft or preferred tools. Develop a high‑level planning model to support inventory optimization across supply‑chain networks. Conduct sourcing events related to transportation and warehousing, including spend analysis, process requirements, and RFI/RFP processes; negotiate and contract. Assess inventory planning processes and recommend improvements for service levels and working capital. Create transformation plans to drive changes in transportation, freight optimization, warehousing & distribution, and estimate benefits (OPEX, inventory, service delivery). Implement and oversee deliverable quality, manage team and day‑to‑day relationships, and ensure exceptional performance. Lead both analysis and team‑leadership activities. Professional skills Strong written, oral, and analytical skills Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Structured project management (time, team, work‑stream management) Initiative and drive Critical and creative thinking Client relationship building Excellent presentation skills Qualifications 10–15 years of combined consulting and industry operating experience Leadership in supply‑chain, distribution & logistics preferred Experience in distribution and logistics analysis/advisory within industry, consulting, or 3PL environment Expertise in network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operations, production and inventory planning Experience with supply‑chain modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft) Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis Flexibility to travel per project requirements Salary and benefits Salary range: $175,000–$250,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus.
