Transform Lives Through Communication in the Vibrant Heart of the Midwest Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that allows you to give purpose to voices quite literally. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the flourishing city of Omaha, your work goes beyond merely treating communication and swallowing disorders; it empowers individuals, rekindles confidence, and fosters connections. From toddlers articulating their first words to seniors regaining their independence, your impact will resonate across generations.
This position offers a unique chance to cater to a diverse array of individuals throughout their lifespan, combining outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether you find joy in pediatric speech development, neurogenic communication disorders in adults, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, you will discover a fulfilling and flexible environment ready to embrace your passion.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using established assessments and observational methods.
Design and implement customized treatment plans aimed at meeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure holistic care strategies.
Educate patients and families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
Provide inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring continuity of care throughout treatment.
Keep meticulous documentation following state, federal, and organizational requirements.
Stay abreast of advancements in the profession through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a monitored Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified yet.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days after employment starts.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods for all demographics, combined with an in-depth understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impediments.
Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adept at modifying therapeutic methodologies to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to problem-solve effectively.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and adherence to documentation standards.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and diversify caseloads.
Opportunities to focus on specific fields such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional development.
A collaborative work environment centered on quality care and lifelong learning.
A Career that Enriches Both You and Those You Serve
In this role, you will not just offer speech therapy; you will become an integral part of a community-centered mission focused on restoring voices, enhancing communication, and evoking joy through simple yet profound human interactions: understanding and being understood.
You will be surrounded by colleagues who view one another as family, working in an atmosphere that champions teamwork over rivalry. Each patient carries a story, and we count on you to shape how it unfolds.
Why You Will Enjoy Living and Working Here
The lifestyle in Omaha strikes a harmonious balance between cultural vibrancy and Midwestern charm. With its stunning parks, a bustling art scene, and the wide-open spaces of the Great Plains, Omaha beckons those craving opportunities for leisure and adventure.
Families revel in local parks for performances and picnics, while outdoor enthusiasts explore nature trails, paddle in the serene waters, or indulge in the local foodie scene that caters to every palate from locally-sourced farm menus to internationally-inspired dishes.
The city's rich cultural tapestry is showcased in its thriving arts scene, buzzing community festivals, and local music venues that host talents from near and far. For career-minded individuals, the advantages extend beyond just living costs; a competitive job market and a favorable cost of living offer both personal satisfaction and professional growth opportunities.

Who We Want on Our Team
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist motivated not just by results but also by compassion. Someone who sees the timid child and envisions a future of self-expression who listens to the hesitant words of a stroke survivor and hears unwavering resolve.
You might be a pediatric expert hoping to broaden your expertise into adult care, or a neuro-specialist eager to integrate early intervention strategies into your work.
If you are passionate about serving with empathy and applying your skills effectively, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our family.
Let's Work Together to Find the Right Words
If your belief in speech transcends simple sound, and therapy extends beyond tasks if you value building rapport before addressing objectives, and recognize the importance of laughter alongside language this could very well be the next exciting chapter in your professional story.
Join us in a collective celebration of communication, genuine connections, and the bravery that comes with starting anew. Apply today to amplify your voice as part of our team and assist others in discovering theirs.
