Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate Attorney (2–5 Years)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading labor and employment law firm in its Phoenix, Arizona office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong employment litigation and counseling experience to handle sophisticated workplace matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with employment claims and restrictive covenant disputes, along with exposure to employment counseling matters including compensation plans, employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, employment policies, and HR support.

• Handle employment litigation matters involving a broad range of employment claims.

• Represent employers in restrictive covenant disputes and related litigation.

• Advise clients on employment-related issues and day-to-day HR matters.

• Counsel clients regarding bonus and compensation plans, employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, and employment policies.

• Provide counseling support to HR professionals and business leaders.

• Manage multiple cases and matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

• Work independently while collaborating with attorneys and other professionals as part of a team.

• Provide practical, strategic legal advice focused on clients' business objectives.

• 2–5 years of experience in employment litigation and/or counseling.

• Strong litigation experience involving employment claims and restrictive covenant disputes.

• Significant experience with bonus and pay plans, employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, employment policies, and HR counseling is preferred.

• Significant labor and employment law experience is preferred.

• Candidates with strong general litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law will also be considered.

• Excellent academic credentials.

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities effectively.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Admission to the Arizona Bar is required.
