ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY IMAGING TECH

Summary Responsible for procedural support to physicians in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab. Technical duties include all procedures performed in the EP lab, including device implants, EP studies, and ablations. This position functions independently as an expert technologist in EP who is a highly competent and clinically skilled member of the patient care team. Must possess the knowledge, skill, physical ability, and mental capacity to perform the typical duties and responsibilities outlined. Responsibilities Provides technical support to the physician during procedure. Scrubs in at the table to act as a first assist with handling venous and arterial catheters and wires. Problem solves equipment and patient access issues. Operates equipment, fluoroscopy equipment, or other imaging systems. Prepares patients and equipment for procedure. Produces proper sterile technique and operates and troubleshoots EP specialty equipment and the X‑ray system. Operates complex electrophysiology specialty equipment. Experience 1–3 years of experience. Education Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology from an accredited school.
