Explore Career Pathways for Pharmacy Professionals:
ResponsibilitiesThe clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe,and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture programs, and providing drug information.Worksunder the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and oversees the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
- Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship.
- OR
- 2+ years'clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
- Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire;ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
