Security Officer Unarmed Front Desk in Van Nuys, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Professional in an aero and defense location, you will help manage access, greet visitors, monitor entry activity, and support day-to-day security-related operations with professionalism and care. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location. Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet incoming guests, verify identification and/or visitor information, and help to support authorized entry procedures for the location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, management, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues through appropriate channels. Answer phones, provide directions and general assistance, and help to support a professional presence consistent with the expectations of an aero and defense location. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
