Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that not only meet immediate objectives but also address long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to create cohesive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to enhance progress outside of clinical settings.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep detailed and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Earned Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
