Overview A full‑time, first‑shift Medical Lab Technician position at a community hospital in Plano. Critical role in enhancing patient care through accurate diagnostics. Description - Your Essential Responsibilities Conduct a range of routine and intricate clinical tests—including chemistry, hematology, and immunology—adhering to established procedures. Ensure the reliability of results by scrutinizing for accuracy, addressing discrepancies, and performing regular maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments. Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as required. Thoroughly document lab procedures, mentor new staff members or students, and help maintain high laboratory quality standards. Uphold a clean, secure work environment and comply with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health degree, and readiness for ASCP/AMT certification. Certification Essentials Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment. Maintain certification throughout employment.
