Founders, engineers, physicians, and investors will not settle for a pleasant campus visit and a statement of values. Understand the nature of this role clearly. This is a sales position with a selectivity mandate. You create demand from the ground up: through preschool and feeder-school connections, community alliances, local programming, and referrals from families you have already won. You carry an enrollment target. Simultaneously, you decline families when the model does not serve their child—in a market where declining a well-networked parent has ramifications. Both dimensions define the position. A single misaligned family in a small cohort inflicts greater damage than an unfilled seat. In year one, you serve as the founding local representative of a campus with an emerging regional presence, and the majority of your time unfolds beyond campus walls. As enrollment grows, your responsibilities evolve. You transition from pursuing initial outreach to becoming the leader parents request by name, with a team supporting you and a strategy that other campuses replicate. You are based on-site at a single campus (Palo Alto or San Rafael) five days per week, present at morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and evening programming. What You Will Be Doing Creating your own pipeline of qualified families via preschool and feeder-school connections, community alliances, referral networks, and regional events. Managing every phase independently: initial inquiry, needs-assessment dialogue, campus visit, student shadow experience, enrollment verdict, and family onboarding. Conducting tours, open houses, and information sessions where you articulate and defend an AI-enhanced learning model to discerning, skeptical parents. Maintaining 7 or more simultaneous family engagements at varying stages, each with documented status and next steps in HubSpot and our student information system. Delivering weekly reports on pipeline integrity and conversion quality, and revising the local admissions playbook, FAQs, and standard operating procedures as you identify what succeeds in your market. What You Won’t Be Doing Managing a waitlist. No established demand exists here. Channeling decisions through an admissions committee or multi-layered approval structures. Following a script or working a quota-driven contact list. Transferring a family between multiple coordinators, an events department, and reception staff. Overseeing a sizable team or allocating your week to internal meetings. Director Of Admissions And Enrollment Key Responsibilities Drive enrollment growth at one Bay Area campus with families positioned to succeed in the Alpha model. Basic Requirements 3+ years in premium client-facing positions where an individual or family served as the buyer at $25K+ per client or $2K+ per month. You can identify the employer and price point; business-to-business or enterprise sales experience alone does not satisfy this requirement. Direct ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process: application, needs assessment, offer, decision, and onboarding. Specifically what you accomplished, not what your team delivered. A quantifiable growth or customer-acquisition metric you owned, including how you generated leads and cultivated local partnerships to achieve it. 7 or more simultaneous client or family relationships at varying stages, documented in a specified CRM or database. A specific instance of advising against your own offering because it was not the appropriate match. Direct application of AI tools in a client-facing process, such as meeting preparation, customized outreach, conversation documentation, or follow-up. Professional written correspondence with C-level executives or high-net-worth clients. You reside in or will relocate within 60 days to Palo Alto, CA, or San Rafael, CA (Marin County).
