Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Paralegal role based in Gloucester, MA, requiring at least one year of actual paralegal experience. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case intake, factual and legal research, and organizing case files. Daily responsibilities include drafting, formatting, and filing legal documents and pleadings, and maintaining case calendars and deadlines. You will never be bored, but you will be challenged. Candidates must naturally be able to have a high level of attention to detail, initiative, independent problem solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly. We value critical thinking. Candidates with no experience in a law firm will not be considered. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with experience supporting civil litigation matters and familiarity with court procedures and rules. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and e-filing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence. Excellent Communication skills for clear, professional interaction with clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel, both in writing and verbally. Careful Document Review capabilities, with strong attention to detail for identifying key facts, inconsistencies, and relevant information in case materials. Minimum of one year of actual paralegal experience in a litigation-focused environment; prior First Amendment or media law exposure is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines. Proficiency with standard office software (proficiency in Work is a MUST), document management systems, and electronic court filing platforms. Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site setting, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive client matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
