We are looking for a Banquet Captain to join the team at The Sunny Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach. About The Sunny The Sunny is a new oceanfront hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, marking the transformation of the historic Newport Beachside Hotel into a modern beachfront destination. The 340-room property blends thoughtful design with a strong food and beverage program, multiple dining concepts, and a series of lively social spaces designed for both guests and the local community. Family-owned for three generations, the property builds on decades of hospitality on one of South Florida’s most storied beachfront sites. With a completely refreshed guest experience and an ambitious culinary program, The Sunny represents a new chapter for this longtime Sunny Isles Beach landmark. Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Banquet Captain to join our team! As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring that all banquet events are executed flawlessly and to the highest standards. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will allow you to lead and coordinate our team of banquet servers, ensuring that all guests receive an outstanding experience. With your positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service, you will work closely with our event planners and culinary team to ensure that every detail is perfect. Qualifications Five years banquet experience Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Knowledge of food and beverage service and catering operations Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Basic computer skills Valid driver's license, where applicable Benefits The Sunny Hotel is managed by Davidson Hospitality Group, an award-winning hospitality operator behind leading hotel and restaurant brands.
