Accounting Associate

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Accounting Associate to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $60,000 to $75,000 per year.

• Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements for management review.
• Track and report on company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, and journals.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Identify and suggest improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding billing and payment inquiries.

• Undergraduate degree, in business, accounting or related field.
• 2-3+ years of accounting/ bookkeeping experience.
• AP with 3 way matching experience required.
• Manufacturing company experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel) and accounting software's (Oracle, Smart Sheet, Paylocity).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
