They are organized, professional, and comfortable working in a healthcare-focused HR environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Process enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations in benefit systems
- Educate employees on benefit options, eligibility, and coverage details
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues with carriers or brokers
- Maintain accurate benefit data in HRIS and payroll systems
- Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and related regulations
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and communications
- Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare reports for audits, participation, and cost tracking
- Maintain confidentiality of employee benefit records
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in HR, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of benefits administration experience (healthcare preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
