Location: Fairfield, AL
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a dynamic team in Fairfield, Alabama.

The Manual Machinist will operate traditional, non-CNC machine tools such as engine lathes and milling machines to manufacture, repair, and modify precise mechanical parts. The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, understands precision measurements and tolerances, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, mills, and other conventional machining equipment
• Manufacture and repair mechanical parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and machining instructions
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet required tolerances
• Set up and operate machines safely and efficiently
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience required
• Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of precision measurement tools and machining practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
