Quality Assembler

Quality / AssemblerReports to: Quality supervisor Supervisory responsibilities: None.Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies is looking to hire a quality assembler that will focus on ensuring necessary quality standards are met for their team at their Grand Rapids, MI plant. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience or more of quality/assembling work or experience in the tool and die trade, be highly motivated to learn, and be a team player. No experience required for candidates that have a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. On the job training will be provided.Essential functions:Deburr parts as neededComplete any offline work with hand tools, drill press, saw, etc.Complete quality checks to ensure features are in toleranceAssemblyPackaging for shippingLoad/unload trucks for shipping & receivingMaintain appropriate toolsKeep current on tool calibrationAssist with a wide variety of shop tasks as requestedKeep work area cleanFollow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to managementMaintain regular attendance at work during scheduled work hoursRequired competency, education, and experience:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to follow instructionsAbility to complete tasks in a timely mannerWillingness to be trained as necessaryPreferred education and experience:Experience with running a drill press and sawExperience with deburringGeneral understanding of machineryWork environment: Manufacturing environment. Physical demands:Candidate must have full use of all limbs.Candidate must be able to read and speak English.Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.Ability to sit (or stand) for long periods of timeAbility to use motorized equipment (i.e. forklift).Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, Monday through Friday, 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.
