Construction Project Manager

Join our team as a Construction Project Manager! The Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) is seeking a proactive and adaptable Construction Project Manager (CPM) to support critical infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Principal Engineer and Engineering Department leadership, this role coordinates construction activities, supports contract administration, advances project delivery, and serves as a liaison among project partners and internal teams. The successful candidate will independently manage increasingly complex projects that advance the District’s water, wastewater, and recycled water systems. The ideal candidate has a strong construction or engineering background and is motivated by challenging work, continuous learning, and taking ownership of complex projects. They bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment where every project presents an opportunity to sharpen their skills, expand their knowledge, and grow professionally.

SALARY & BENEFITS

This position will receive an annual salary of $146,567 – $202,044 DOE/DOQ, PLUS an attractive benefits package.
