Machine OperatorLocation: Kansas City, MOJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 8-Hour Shift (Monday- Friday 8a-4p)Pay: $22.00/HRJob SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to operate and monitor production equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, basic mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.This position involves operating machinery, inspecting products, performing routine equipment checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.Perform basic machine setups, adjustments, and routine equipment inspections.Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.Record production output, downtime, and material usage accurately.Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines.Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired:At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical instructions and drawings.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.Preferred:High school diploma or GED.Experience operating automated or CNC machinery.Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.Forklift certification or material-handling experience.Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentStand and walk for extended periods, including throughout an entire shift.Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.Bend, reach, stoop, and occasionally climb ladders or stairs.Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Work around moving machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and airborne particles within permissible safety limits.Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.Schedule & OvertimeFull-time position with standard 8-hour shifts.Shift times may vary based on production needs.Overtime may be required depending on workload.Three paid 10-minute rest breaks are provided per shift.BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with employer match.Paid time off and holidays.Additional voluntary benefits.Additional RequirementsThis is a safety-sensitive position that requires drug testing.A background check will be required.Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.Reliable attendance and adherence to workplace safety procedures are essential.About Express Employment ProfessionalsExpress Employment Professionals is a leading staffing company connecting qualified job seekers with top employers across a variety of industries.
