Prototype Machinist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment. Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc. Follow all documented Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges Perform other duties as required/assigned. Core Competencies Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a 5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents Strong Manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting) Excellent organizational and communications Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
