If you are a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking for a flexible PRN opportunity with a dynamic team, we would love to meet you!Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications:Successful completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant education program recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), or its successor.Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.Prior experience in Occupational Therapy preferred.Membership in state and national American Occupational Therapy Association organizations preferred.Professional attitude and appearance.Proficient administrative and public relations skills.Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in occupational therapy.Thorough knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures.Training in the use of prescriptive devices, including electrical stimulation and ultrasound, preferred.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and obtain their cooperation with prescribed treatment plans.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and other personnel.Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the demands of working with both patients and employees.Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality.Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred.This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
