About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Commercialization to play a pivotal role in the early commercial deployment of its groundbreaking automated manufacturing platform for soft materials, with a focus on apparel. The successful candidate will be a senior commercial leader, responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy, building the commercial function from the ground up, and leading all apparel sales to brands. This role demands a hands-on, execution-oriented approach, with a direct focus on shaping the commercial and go-to-market strategy, defining target customers, and developing pricing and deal structures. The VP will also be tasked with leading early customer engagements, from initial conversations to signed agreements, and ensuring that all commercial activities are in line with the technical and operational capabilities of the platform. Applicants for the VP of Commercialization role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in B2B commercialization and business development, with a proven track record of building and scaling sales. Experience in the apparel industry, particularly in product development and manufacturing, is essential. The role requires the ability to originate and close complex commercial deals, strong commercial judgment, and the capacity to work cross-functionally to ensure that commercial commitments are operationally executable. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial automation, materials, and manufacturing constraints, and be adept at translating these into commercial offerings.
