Junior Project Manager

Position Overview Dragonfli Media is seeking a full-time Junior Project Manager based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Operating as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, you will take ownership of delivering safe, successful, and seamless events from start to finish. With guidance from Senior Project Managers, this role is primarily focused on event operations, with opportunities to manage projects across various other media and technology business sectors as you grow. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Work alongside Senior PMs to build, monitor, and track detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Manage scope, schedule, and cost adjustments to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Oversee and drive the creation of comprehensive event management and operational plans. Field Logistics & Operations Handle pre-event planning, site selection, and venue setup, coordinating with local authorities, agencies, landowners, neighborhood entities, and suppliers. Support the identification, application, and acquisition of all required event permits. Manage local event logistics, on-site operations staff, contractors, and vendor relationships. Promote and uphold health and safety standards, taking a proactive approach to best practices on-site. Client & Team Management Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal project teams, maintaining professional and effective communication. Step into account management responsibilities when necessary to build and sustain strong client relationships. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding support teams throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate internal project communications and lead scheduled project status meetings. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1–2+ years in project management or a closely related role with proven success. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (both client-facing and internal). Organization: Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented problem-solving abilities. Direct experience in live events, experiential marketing, or event production is a plus Non-Traditional Hours: Due to the nature of live events, this role requires flexibility. Evening and weekend work is frequently necessary leading up to and during project executions. Travel: Willingness to travel off-site for evens and site visits as needed.
