Become a part of the “strength within.”Hexcel is currently seeking a Projects Manager for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Matrix location.The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Manage site capital budget and capital projects (up to $9M), which would include, but not be limited to, scoping and estimating the projects, authoring capital expenditure requests for the same, leading multi-functional project teams, providing cost and schedule control, identifying required resources, and coordinating between all affected partiesConduct FMEA’s with supplier and local technical team to mitigate risks with the projectCoordinate with the local technical team to ensure key project and site objectives are metCommunicate project status with senior employees and project stakeholders; develop and delivery formal presentations to management as necessaryDevelop proposals or RFQ’s for the purposes of scoping or estimating capital investments; work with vendors and/or contractors to optimize system performanceManage the procurement process for capital expenditure projects, including interface and negotiations with suppliers of equipment and servicesPrepare and maintain Engineering drawings, including Engineering and Process Flow Diagrams, Assembly Drawings, and Detailed Design DrawingsDesign and/or troubleshoot systems related to instruments, controls, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transferDevelop technical specifications, ensuring that equipment conforms to local specifications and availability and evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctionsProvide oversight for commissioning and startup of new or modified equipment and ensure maximum possible duplication of the best chosen process technology at all impacted sitesQualifications:B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related areaProject Management Professional (PMP) preferredDemonstrated ability to perform safety analysis, especially HAZOP or FMEADemonstrated ability to both work within and lead multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in developing and reading of mechanical design drawingsExperience with Six Sigma improvement principlesOral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilitiesKnowledge and experience with basic process drawing layouts with emphasis on PFD’s, P&ID’s, and controlsEligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
