Supplier Consultant, Medical Bill Review

The Supplier Consultant is accountable for the execution of relevant supply category strategies. Collaborates with business partners to develop and execute supplier category strategies. Develops and executes strategies to optimize medical cost containment programs. Supports supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation, and contracting activities. Manages supplier relationships utilizing the five pillars of supplier management. Monitors supplier performance to ensure contracted service levels, quality standards, and compliance requirements are achieved. Conducts regular supplier performance and stewardship reviews. Leads supplier governance processes including quarterly business reviews and performance remediation activities. Partners with business stakeholders and suppliers to investigate escalated issues and perform root cause analysis. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Typically a minimum of five to eight years' work experience in supplier management Experience managing healthcare, managed care, medical bill review, provider network, or cost containment vendors preferred. Strong knowledge of specialty area and solid knowledge of departmental sourcing practices Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with personnel at all levels. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software. Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.
