What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops with high school students covering topics such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange, then evaluating mastery through a structured Test2Pass assessment Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage Coachbot analytics to engage with individual students, determine where they're encountering challenges in their learning apps, and guide them through obstacles Creating personalized motivational approaches with students, including reward systems and incentives that encourage self-directed advancement in their academic applications Examining curriculum and lesson plans prior to each session, then modifying your delivery approach based on your assessment of student engagement What You Won’t Be Doing Teaching academic subjects. Software manages math, reading, and all other academic content. Managing a school or supervising a team. No budget oversight, no recruitment, no operational meetings; your complete attention is devoted to your student cohort. Enforcing discipline through conventional authority. Student Engagement Specialist Key Responsibilities Develop a cohort of high school students who are enthusiastic about school, learn 2x faster through adaptive software, and exhibit mastery of practical life skills. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in any subject 3+ years of experience working directly with high school students (ages 13-18) Willing to work in-person in Oklahoma City, OK (relocation assistance available) Legal right to work in the US Nice-to-have Requirements Background as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader who has motivated teenagers outside a traditional classroom Track record of leading groups toward measurable goals (completion rates, performance benchmarks, behavior change) Experience with adaptive learning platforms or ed-tech tools Storytelling ability that holds a room of teenagers' attention, delivered with cultural awareness and relatability About Alpha Join the team building school around student growth.
