Utilities Clerk – #70 (Vermont – James Wood, 16–17 years) Start Rate: $17.87 per hour Location: 888 S. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90005, United States We are looking for a reliable employee who can provide excellent customer service, love their community, and enjoy food. Responsibilities include: Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly the Produce Department. Assist customers on the store floor as needed. Properly bag groceries for customers and carry out groceries as requested. Maintain and retrieve store carts, run price checks, assist with go-backs, assist with check stand upkeep, and remove waste from the parking area. Ensure the store is clean and safe at all times. Qualifications: Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Preferred: Basic PC / Outlook skills. Retail Management Certificate.
