Utilities Clerk - # 1 South Gate - Firestone (ages 16-17) We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Utilities Clerk to support the daily operations of our El Super store in South Gate, California. Starting Rate $16.90 per hour Store Location 5702 Firestone Blvd South Gate, California 90280 United States Responsibilities Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly the Produce Department. Provide customer assistance on the store floor as needed. Bag groceries for customers when requested and carry out groceries upon additional request. Maintain clean and safe store conditions at all times. Maintain and retrieve store carts. Run price checks and assist with go‑backs. Assist with check stand upkeep and remove waste from the parking area. Perform general physical requirements such as lifting up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, kneeling, and basic visual and auditory tasks. Qualifications Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and coworkers. Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Preferred Additional Skills Basic PC/Outlook skills.
