ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS Develops visual design and/or layout across multiple print and digital mediums and platforms Supports and contributes to the Project Team's executed design solution and deliverables on assigned projects Executes and delivers project-based solutions with speed and quality, while incorporating and maintaining Project Leadership's direction and feedback Contributes to client presentations and communications as assigned Understands project deadlines and milestones Ensures brand guidelines and standards are met Interfaces directly with internal departments to learn and understand potential solutions Exudes a "Go where needed" attitude and outlook on role Participates in process improvement and best practices within the department Focuses on learning and absorbing new information and knowledge from DI subject matter experts (design team members and support staff, DI team members, clients, etc.) Supports the success of studio team members KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Demonstrate a strong proficiency in design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketchup), research skills (for storytelling) Ability to storyboard, visualize and articulate concepts for others Ability to learn new skills and software quickly Ability to take direction and constructive critique well Authentic desire to be a team player Be coachable Demonstrate progress in quality and design solution technique Demonstrate development of personal time management and multi-tasking skills Quality control of design documents Independent thinking/solutions and autonomy Possess a developing knowledge of material and fabrication methods relevant to design EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Associate or Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.F.A) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture or related field Knowledge of print production methods PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Employee must be able to talk and hear WORK ENVIRONMENT Due to our onside Fabrication process, the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
