Overview: A long‑standing, stable manufacturing company in the Eagle, WI area is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support and maintain their injection molding operation. This is a first‑shift, direct‑hire role with a company known for its strong culture, commitment to quality, and long‑term employee stability.
Position Summary: The General Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding presses, auxiliary equipment, and plant systems. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work. The company values attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn—training is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on molding machines and auxiliary equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on presses, plant systems, and support equipment
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
Maintain hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses
Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, and wiring
Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and general facility maintenance
Maintain accurate maintenance records and help manage spare parts
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
Qualifications:
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Willingness to learn and expand skill sets
Ability to read basic prints, schematics, and manuals
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment (multimeter)
Reliable, safety‑minded, and able to work independently
