About the role

As a Senior SAP Commerce Developer , you will assist Business Analysts and other programmers with application or technical problems. We will count on you to design, develop, test, debug, and document programs on large-scale, complex project. Along the way, you will get to:

• Lead SAP Commerce solution architecture and technical design, collaborating closely with leads and managers to define standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Elicit, research, and document client business and technical requirements, leveraging AI-assisted requirements analysis and impact assessment to accelerate discovery and reduce gaps
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and integrations for SAP Commerce, using AI tools to compare options, estimate effort, and assess technical risk
• Design, document, and maintain end-to-end system and application architecture, including high-level and low-level technical designs, supported by AI-generated diagrams and design documentation
• Break down requirements into well-defined technical tasks, estimates, and work packages; use AI to refine work breakdown structures, validate estimates, and optimize delivery plans
• Contribute to project planning and scheduling, providing time estimates, task assignments, and technical dependencies for the SAP Commerce workstream
• Develop high-quality, standards-compliant SAP Commerce code and configurations, using AI pair-programming and code-generation tools to improve productivity and consistency
• Perform advanced debugging, refactoring, and unit testing of modules before QA hand-off, leveraging AI-driven static analysis and test-case generation to enhance coverage and reliability
• Support deployment and release activities by preparing clear technical documentation, runbooks, and handover materials, with AI assistance for documentation generation and consistency checking
• Participate in regular technical team meetings, proactively communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions to senior project stakeholders
• Design and build applications using the required languages and frameworks, aided by AI for coding patterns, performance tuning recommendations, and best-practice guidance
• Maintain comprehensive project and technical documentation in line with organizational standards, using AI tooling to keep design, code, and documentation synchronized and up to date

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Deep expertise in Java (7+ years) and Spring (4+ years), able to clearly articulate language and framework trade-offs to guide design and development decisions, supported by AI-based impact and performance analysis
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), including PCM and custom extension development/maintenance, leveraging AI tools for faster code scaffolding, refactoring, and technical spike exploration
• Proven track record delivering SAP Commerce implementations and upgrades, using AI to analyze upgrade paths, identify breaking changes, and recommend migration strategies
• Skilled in driving and coordinating the end-to-end design and development process, including architecture discussions, decision-making, and cross-team alignment, supported by AI-powered documentation and design visualization
• Capable of producing accurate development estimates from high-level business or technical requirements, using AI to validate assumptions, complexity, and effort ranges
• Acts as a technical subject matter expert and lead, mentoring engineers on PCM and extensions, and using AI-assisted code reviews, learning resources, and examples to accelerate team upskilling
