Benefits Specialist

On behalf of our client we are looking for a detail oriented Benefits Administrative Assistant to support our sales organization in Northbrook, Illinois. This position plays a key role in keeping opportunities moving forward by coordinating quotes, organizing documentation, and managing communication with carriers and vendor partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing administrative work, data accuracy, and client-ready deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to sales effectiveness through strong organization, follow-through, and collaboration.

Compensation: $55k-$72k + bonus potential

Hybrid (Onsite Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all backend quoting activity
• Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Monitor opportunities throughout the Salesforce workflow
• Serve as the liaison between internal sales reps and insurance carriers
• Follow up on missing documentation
• Communicate status updates to sales representatives
• Track multiple quotes simultaneously
• Resolve documentation issues before submissions
• Maintain accurate records inside Salesforce
• Run status reports and provide regular updates
• Keep the quoting process moving efficiently

Requirement:

• 2+ years of experience in sales support, benefits administration, or insurance coordination

• Proficiency in CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce

• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with carriers, vendors, and clients
