Janitor Housekeeper

Overview SAYCARE LLC is seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our Environmental Services team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout our healthcare facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, waiting areas, and offices to maintain a clean and safe environment. Ensure the proper disposal of waste, including biohazard and medical waste, following facility protocols. Perform floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment regularly. Replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, in designated areas. Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Follow infection control and safety protocols to reduce the spread of germs and ensure the safety of all individuals within the facility. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Qualifications Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment, is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and cleaning techniques. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Certification in infection control or OSHA safety training (preferred but not required). Experience with floor care equipment and techniques (preferred). Level 2 Background Check. Work Conditions Work hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays, based on facility needs. Must be able to work in a hospital or clinical environment, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials.
