Job Duties and Responsibilities Review and verify invoices and financial statements for accuracy and completion Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry Assist with month-end close processes and provide support for audits Generate purchase orders when necessary Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies Assist senior financial officers as needed Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process Monitoring payment deadlines and resolving any outstanding invoices Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Accounting procedures and principles Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial and confidential information Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Accuracy and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidentiality, reliability, and consistency in meeting priorities and deadlines Education and Experience Associate’s degree in business administration or accounting, or other applicable experience Minimum of 2-3 years of account payable experience preferred Familiarity in accounting and business management software Experience in account reconciliation Physical Requirements Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity EEOC-Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran Network Connex believes all persons are entitled to equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate against employees or job applicants because of race, color, gender, affectional or sexual orientation, domestic partnership status, ancestry, religion, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, disability, veteran status, age or any other protected group status.
