Maintenance Director

Maintenance Director Location: Brooklyn, NY Shift: Full-Time Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (Based on experience) Lead Facility Operations. Maintain Excellence. Make an Impact. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our healthcare facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proactive professional who is comfortable managing a team while actively participating in daily maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility repairs. Perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment, systems, and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. Schedule, supervise, and support maintenance team members to ensure effective coverage and timely completion of tasks. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility documentation. Respond promptly and professionally to emergency maintenance situations. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare facility requirements. Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, upgrades, and installation of new equipment. Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory while assisting with budgeting and cost management. Partner with administration and department leaders to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and facility operations. Communicate effectively through internal communication channels, including team group chats. Requirements: Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance needs. Strong knowledge of building systems, repairs, and general maintenance practices, preferably within a healthcare or skilled nursing environment. Proven leadership skills with a hands-on management style and the ability to lead by example. Ability to independently assess issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems efficiently. Experience inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure, equipment, and resident rooms. Ability to manage maintenance supplies, equipment, vendors, and budgets. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Willingness to learn, adapt, and implement new maintenance techniques and technologies.
