Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide skilled surgical technology support in the operating room to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures. Collaborate closely with surgical teams, maintaining a sterile environment and assisting during surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all surgical equipment is ready and functional.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.
• Maintain an accurate and sterile surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Support with patient preparation and positioning under the supervision of an RN.
• Respond promptly to call-ins and perform precepting duties for new staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and participate in departmental tasks.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist with NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• Proven experience in orthopedics, scrubbing, and DaVinci robotic procedures.
• Must have recent travel experience in a surgical setting.
• Possess pharmacology knowledge and successful medication exam results.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments.
• BLS certified and able to arrive within 30 minutes of call.
