Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional coursework or education in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or finance is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 2-4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in a retail, distribution, manufacturing, or other high-volume accounting environment preferred
• Strong experience with general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet account analysis
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation schedules
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system such as NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, or similar software

Job Duties

• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and support month-end close activities
• Process accounts payable invoices, vendor payments, and statement reconciliations
• Support accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash applications, and aging reviews
• Monitor daily deposits, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, chargebacks, and payment issues
• Maintain accurate financial records and strong internal cash controls
• Assist with cash forecasting, financial reporting, and special accounting projects
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to review financial documents and enter data accurately.
• Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining attention to detail throughout the workday.

What You Will Do


As a Junior Staff Accountant you will process invoices, maintain financial records, enter accounting data, reconcile transactions, prepare reports, organize documentation, assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, support payroll or billing functions as assigned, and help ensure accurate, timely financial recordkeeping while following established accounting procedures.
