Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantPosition: Staff AccountantPay Range: $30 to $35 Per HourReporting To: ControllerWork Type: On-sitePosition Summary:The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close while ensuring compliance with GAAP.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.1-3 years of accounting experience.Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.Advanced Excel skills.NetSuite or comparable ERP preferred.Healthcare experience preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries.Post bank and credit card activity on a daily/weekly basisComplete bank, cash, credit-card, and balance-sheet transactions and assist with reconciliationsMaintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedules.Support month-end close for assigned entities.Assist with revenue and accounts payable reconciliations.Research discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.Serve as a backup and support to the AP group as needed.Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.Partner with operations to resolve accounting issues.Support process improvements and special projects.Other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).Close vision requirements due to computer work.Light to moderate lifting may be required.
