We’re hiring an Estimator to join our preconstruction team. Working closely with the Lead Estimator, you’ll drive project success from the first takeoff through award and handoff to Operations and remain a trusted resource throughout the project lifecycle. Compensation and benefits Base salary: $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience Profit sharing bonus Employee Stock Ownership Program: Become a part-owner of the company as you grow with us Health, Dental and Vision PTO and paid holidays What you’ll do Develop accurate, competitive estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and timelines using HCSS HeavyBid Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to identify scope, risks, and opportunities Perform precise quantity takeoffs and identify all required work activities Source and engage subcontractors and material suppliers Track, evaluate, and pursue new project opportunities Lead the handoff of awarded projects from Estimating to Operations Support the Operations team with change order clarification and pricing Contribute ideas to improve project outcomes and competitiveness What we’re looking for 3–5 years of heavy civil earthwork estimating experience Bachelor’s in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities Solid understanding of construction methods, means, and sequencing Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and vendors Valid driver’s license Nice to have Agtek or Trimble Business Center AutoCAD (earthwork takeoff) Growth and development We invest in our people.
