Registration Coordinator - 24h Evenings

Job Summary Register patients and update information in the patient’s electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial, and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission. Schedule Scheduled weekly hours: 24 hours. Evening shifts: 3:00pm-11:30pm and 4:00pm-12:30am on a 6‑week rotating schedule, with one weekend per month. Required Skills and Qualifications Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor Professional handling of all interactions within a fast‑paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment Critical thinking to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent computer skills Preferred Skills and Qualifications Minimum two years of computer experience Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting Knowledge of medical terminology Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. License and Certification N/A. Age Specific Criteria Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas. Salary Hourly: $18.71-$28.26. Actual compensation determined after considering work history, experience, skill set, and education.
