Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects from initiation through to completion. You will be responsible for establishing clear project objectives, developing robust delivery plans and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide confident leadership, maintain momentum and ensure that project outcomes support wider strategic priorities.

Your responsibilities will include defining scope, milestones, dependencies, resources and success measures; managing budgets, forecasts and financial controls; and identifying, assessing and mitigating risks and issues. You will establish effective governance and reporting arrangements, provide accurate progress updates and ensure that decisions, actions and changes are recorded and managed appropriately. You will also oversee procurement and supplier relationships where required, monitor performance against agreed plans and lead project reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing complex projects or programmes, ideally within a fast-paced or changing environment. You will be confident working across organisational boundaries and engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, delivery partners and external suppliers. Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a structured approach to planning, prioritisation and decision-making. You should be comfortable managing competing demands, challenging constructively and providing clear direction when circumstances change. A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or an equivalent, would be advantageous, alongside demonstrable experience of delivering measurable results through effective team leadership and governance.
