Overview Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY. Full-time, permanent position, salary grade 07, annual salary $37,121. Work Schedule Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 40 hours per week. No flextime, no overtime, no compressed week, no telecommuting. Location 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210, Onondaga County. Duties Conduct telephone interviews of patients/family members for demographic and insurance data in EPIC computer system. Provide information and directions to patients and verify Medicaid, Medicare and HMO accounts. Participate in cross training in other Patient Access Services (PAS) areas. Perform clerical support duties including answering telephones, filing, copying, etc. Prioritize work, handle multiple tasks effectively and function under stressful situations. Minimum Qualifications One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
