Country Marketing Manager, Canada

Country Marketing Manager, Canada Whatnot is a livestream shopping platform that connects buyers and sellers across North America and Europe. We are looking for a Country Marketing Manager to drive hyper‑growth and help sellers grow their businesses fast. You are an expert in developing and executing marketing plans centered around customer acquisition and retention, including digital events on the Whatnot platform, one‑off activations, influencer integrations, and seller‑partner content. Responsibilities Own buyer acquisition across the priority categories in Canada, devising campaigns and events that generate buzz and grow demand. Identify and pursue PR and influencer opportunities in the local market across categories. Develop and execute social media strategy for your market’s categories across multiple channels and platforms. Build scalable resources and toolkits to help sellers better market their channels and grow audiences on the platform. Measure and iterate on the effectiveness of category marketing initiatives. You We thrive on low ego, a growth mindset, leaning into action and high impact. 6+ years of marketing experience in a fast‑paced environment; startups, marketplaces, or creator‑focused platforms a plus. Strong project management skills and ability to fully own strategy and content across multiple marketing channels. Creative thinker with aptitude for content creation and copywriting. Experience tracking KPIs and monitoring success for marketing programs. Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast‑paced startup environment with limited guidance, and comfortable pivoting quickly as needed. Nice to Have Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Creative Suite, Figma). Passion for creator communities and/or existing Whatnot product categories (e.g. vintage clothing, collectibles). Experience buying and selling on online marketplaces.
