Join to apply for the Physical Therapist Assistant role at Louisiana Medical Management Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Job Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist at Metropolitan Health Group to provide patient care services for those with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. This position requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as experience with a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist the licensed Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and goals. Implement individualized treatment plans based on patients\' needs, goals, and functional abilities, under the direction and supervision of the licensed Physical Therapist. Use a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and range of motion. Instruct patients and their families on exercise programs, home exercise programs, and self-care techniques to optimize recovery and prevent re-injury. Monitor patients\' progress and report to the licensed Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and other relevant information in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards of practice. Qualifications Associate\'s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment.
