Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview Senior / Staff Forward Deployed Engineer with a high-growth AI-native company building at the intersection of enterprise workflows, search, and intelligent automation. This is a highly product-focused engineering role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and enjoys working directly with customers to solve complex problems. The team partners closely with enterprise customers to understand expensive, inefficient workflows and rapidly prototype AI-driven solutions that create measurable impact. Successful prototypes often influence the broader product roadmap and can evolve into core platform capabilities. This is not a traditional software engineering role. It\'s best suited to someone who combines strong technical execution with product instinct, customer empathy, and a high degree of ownership. What you\'ll be doing Working directly with customers to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and business priorities Rapidly building MVPs and proof-of-concepts to validate high-impact solutions Designing AI-native workflows using modern LLM tooling and internal platform capabilities Partnering with Product, Engineering, and customer stakeholders to shape future product direction Translating customer learnings into scalable platform improvements What they\'re looking for Strong product sense and the ability to identify what will move the needle quickly Experience building and shipping prototypes fast High agency and comfort operating in ambiguity Strong technical foundation (language/tooling matters less than adaptability) Experience using AI-native development workflows (LLMs, coding copilots, automation tooling) Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ideal backgrounds Forward Deployed Engineering Applied AI Engineering Growth Engineering Solutions Engineering Founding Engineer / Technical Founder Product Engineering Open to candidates around ~5 years of experience, but flexible for exceptional builders with founder backgrounds, strong side projects, or outsized impact early in their careers.
