Registered Nurse (RN)This is a very high acuity unit where nurses will encounter a diverse and challenging patient load, including cases related to strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis. Traumatic cases may also be present; however, this is not a designated trauma unit. Security personnel are available on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Shift DetailsShift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AMEvery Other Weekend: RequiredOn Call Requirement: No callFloating Requirement: No floatingNurse/Patient Ratio: 4:1Technology UsedElectronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized: Epic.Dress CodeUniform: Ceil blue scrubs.Job ResponsibilitiesExhibit competencies as a leader, either as a Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.Provide nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided meticulously.Assess educational needs and provide comprehensive education to patients, family members, and caregivers.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.Required Certifications: BLS certification via AHAACLS certification via AHAPALS certification via AHADe-Escalation certificationLicensure: RN License in the state of employment or in a compact state.Position RequirementsAll newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.New hires will be precepted by designated trained staff members, with initial onboarding validated through the organization's competency validation processes.Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or specific orientation to further develop their skills and competency.Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.Work ScheduleNight shifts are scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM.Work TypeFull-time position.
