Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for our downtown Roanoke, VA office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for a variety of project types, including educational, civic, arts, and commercial buildings. Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and willingness to mentor staff are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:- Design HVAC systems for various project types
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Mentor junior staff members
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 7-10 years of professional experience preferred
- Proficient in design load calculation and energy modeling programs (Trace, ComCheck)
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Proficiency in REVIT preferred
