Salary: $170,000 - 210,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least seven years of Salesforce development experience.
• Strong skills building custom Salesforce solutions with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Salesforce APIs.
• Experience balancing development with Salesforce administration, configuration, and user support.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce data architecture, object relationships, security, permissions, sharing rules, and governance.
• Experience designing and building Salesforce Flows, including screen flows and guided user experiences.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrations with external applications or data sources.
• Experience improving and extending an existing Salesforce environment with limited documentation.
• Ability to gather business requirements and turn them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, internal customer service, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative, non-technical team and establish structure and best practices in an evolving environment.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git and established software development and release practices.
• Ability to work in a highly confidential environment, including where privacy considerations limit access to some industry-standard tools.
• Preferred: Salesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II is also preferred.
• Preferred: Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Preferred: Experience with nonprofit organizations, foundations, family offices, government agencies, or grantmaking environments.
• Preferred: Experience supporting portals, surveys, onboarding workflows, Experience Cloud, or other external-facing Salesforce experiences.

• Serve as our primary Salesforce developer and internal platform expert.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom Salesforce applications and functionality.
• Build custom solutions with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, Flows, and other Salesforce development tools.
• Improve and extend Salesforce to support our evolving grantmaking, research, gift processing, relationship management, and operational needs.
• Design intuitive screen flows and user experiences for internal staff and grant recipients.
• Improve recipient onboarding, surveys, information collection, and other external-facing Salesforce interactions.
• Design and maintain Salesforce data models, custom objects, relationships, workflows, automations, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external partners, public databases, and other business applications.
• Handle day-to-day Salesforce administration, including fields, permissions, user access, data quality, reports, dashboards, and system configuration.
• Support employee onboarding, training, and ongoing user adoption.
• Coach non-technical users and help internal teams understand Salesforce capabilities and best practices.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Liaise with our grantmaking team and respond agilely to its needs, including report requests.
• Assess the existing Salesforce environment and recommend and implement improvements to usability, efficiency, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Create and maintain shared system documentation, technical designs, development standards, and operating procedures.
• Establish appropriate development, testing, release management, and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with our external Salesforce development firm, using sound judgment about when outside expertise is needed.
• Help manage the external partners work while safeguarding confidential organizational and grant recipient data.
• Keep current with Salesforce releases and recommend relevant enhancements.
