Are you a numbers-driven professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Oliver Inc. is searching for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. As our Senior Cost Accountant, you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to the monthly close process, manage AR functions, reconcile accounts, and play an essential part in financial reporting and compliance. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of key financial operations while working cross-functionally with teams like shipping, sales, and leadership. What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Cost Accountant : Posting daily cash receipts, billings and assisting with AR collections Processing credit applications and prepare aging reports Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and fixed asset management Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the general ledger Prepare timely monthly financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies, while identifying and explaining monthly variances Support internal audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories Review job costing and prepare schedule of variances for investigation. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets Working with other departments to support decision-making processes and ensure financial information is readily available Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports for management Assisting with audit and preparing necessary documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations and reporting. What You Bring as a Senior Cost Accountant : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a must) Knowledge of GAAP and experience with account reconciliations Excel proficiency, along with Manufacturing ERP systems experience Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends. High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset Ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including senior management.
