Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in Burlingame, California. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for an Anesthesiologist:

• Provide anesthesiology coverage in hospital operating room settings, including high acuity inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
• Work with a mixed practice of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases, with experience in high acuity (ASA 3+) cases preferred
• Perform regional anesthesia procedures as needed (preferred but evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
• Work solo in the operating room as the primary anesthesiologist, with occasional oversight of CRNAs
• Float between multiple sister sites and ambulatory surgery centers to provide coverage
• Cover general anesthesia cases and, on occasion, regional cases (no cardiac, liver, or neuro cases)
• Provide care for adults and adolescents 13 years of age and older
• Maintain current Board Certification (or be truly board eligible, especially if fellowship trained)
• Hold a valid California state medical license
• Maintain a valid California DEA license with Schedule 2/2n
• Maintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting
• Apply recent tertiary care center and/or medical center experience to clinical practice
• Apply trauma experience to high acuity patient care (strongly preferred)
• Commit to a minimum of 2 weeks of coverage per month (full-time preferred)
• Work shifts typically ranging from 8 to 11 hours in length with no fixed shift requirements
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Submit current CV with any gaps greater than 6 months explained, provider questionnaire, and license verification
• Be available to provide required credentialing information (DOB, SSN, license, contact information, and signed forms) within 72 hours of offer signing to initiate privileging process
